Hi, I'm Serena
I am "That MidLife Crafter"
Some of you may remember me from my Personal/Executive Coaching days where I helped, mainly women, who were quietly done with a “meh life”. Together, we searched and discovered the courage, clarity, and momentum to become the person they’ve been whispering about for years.
Over the years, my focus has been equal parts honest conversation, practical coaching, and creative spark—because transformation needs both strategy and soul.
How I Got Here
I spent more than 20 years working with individuals — listening to their stories, coaching through career pivots, relationship shifts, and the small, stubborn beliefs that keep us playing small. Along the way I realized I was teaching myself the same lessons I was teaching others. I started using my coaching tools on my own life and discovered something unexpected: a new purpose and a fierce passion for creativity. That discovery changed everything. It turned my work from “helping others” into a lived practice of becoming who I wanted (and ultimately was meant) to be.
What I Do
I’m a published writer, speaker, and Motivation Expert who has learned the joy of creativity only since 2019. I love to blend storytelling with straight talk. I write blog posts that read like a friend’s kitchen-table pep talk, lead workshops that leave you with a plan (thank heavens for YouTube!), and design online resources that turn intention into action. My focus is on choice, mindset, and creative practice—so you don’t just feel inspired, you actually make the changes that matter. Moving both of us from Perfectionism to Passionate Joy in Creativity
My Style
My style is conversational and practical. I start by hearing the small, stubborn stories we tell ourselves. Then we test them, reframe them, and replace them with habits that build confidence and momentum. That is one of the reasons I break through resistence by using FREE and VERY LOW COST options! I bring warmth, directness, and a little bit of humor—because growth is messy and it should be human. I also draw from my own journey, so you get guidance that’s been tried, tested, and lived.
Credentials and Highlights
I’m the author of How I Got Out of My Own Way ~ My Journey from Hopeless to HappYness, and I’ve been featured in outlets like Huffington Post and The Association of Fundraising Professionals. I was also surprised by being honored as a Dress For Success Local Hero, and one of my proudest moments was receiving an endorsement from John Gray for my book. Those moments matter, but what matters most is the change people create after working with me.
A Little About Me
When I’m not diving deep into learning, writing, working through my own chronic pain, I’m indulging in guilty pleasures—bingeing YouTube automotive and Philanthropic Channels (let me know if I should make a list?). Creativity for me is both a practice and a playground; it’s how I stay curious, brave, and alive. In 2019 an aqaintance said to me: “Serena if you worked as hard on finding a hobby as you do with work, you WILL find one.” Funny how I never thought of it that way?
Let’s Do This
If you’re ready to stop living on autopilot and start by dipping your toes and fingers into creativity and crafting. Let’s do it together!
